The ATCG3D specialized center will be hosting a hands-on workshop where participants can learn to use various microcapillary protein crystallization techniques.  Techniques discussed include plug-based microfluidic crystallization, microcapillary counterdiffusion, and micropipet crystallization.  Participants will be given the opportunity to test the microcapillary techniques using their own proteins.  The two-day workshop will also include a demonstration of /in situ/ diffraction at the Advanced Photon Source at Argonne National Laboratories.  For more information, visit the workshop website at www.mpcw2008.org.
