NYSGRC Biomedical Themes

The primary focus of the NYSGRC Biomedical Theme has been on phosphatases from human and human pathogens. To date, all of our Biomedical targets (and structures) have been of eukaryotic origin. This description of the Human Phosphatome illustrates the similarity among all known human phosphatases and indicates which have structures in the PDB. NYSGRC phosphatase structures, which are from both human and pathogenic organisms, are listed in this spreadsheet, and the details about our work on the phosphatases is given in the excerpt from the NYSGRC 2007 annual progress report.
